You’ll never know how hard something is until you’ve actually been through it yourself. One of the hardest things I’ve had to do, besides growing a baby and labor, is working out. It’s challenging because I’m at war with myself. I want to eat all the yummy things and it’s hard to have self control. I know I can eat yummy foods in moderation but then I try to stretch those limits if I give in to them.
So I just try to stay away from them as much as possible. Instead, I fill my heart with God and positive words of wisdom. This last week, I realized how much my body needs to ease into working out again. So instead of doing hard core 45 minutes I decided to allow myself to do 20-30 minutes of warm ups and some high intensity workouts. If I work out today, even if it’s for 15 minutes, I’m better off and know every little bit helps. When I weighed myself I was shocked to see the amount that I had lost! So be encouraged even if you are not seeing the results right now, your body is responding to everything you do. Remember why we are doing this: to be happy, to love ourselves and to be healthy.
