This verse is beautiful to me. The act of receiving a crown of beauty, and joy is a big deal to me. As I walk on this life journey with the Lordy, Lord; I’m finding out there is an abundance of love that God is willing to give. I’m realizing that it’s not all fire and brimstone. I used to think I don’t deserve nice things….Of course there needs to be balance and we have to recognize that God does have rules. However, there are a lot of sweet promise in the Bible that we can tap into. But before you automatically think you should receive those blessings just because; make sure you read the verses above and below for the “instructions” on how you are to receive those blessings. Sometimes the Lord says you have to trust, obey, sacrifice, to receive those rewards he has for us. Don’t miss those key verses that are above and below. I do hope that you are willingly loving the Lord without the expectation but it’s a great reminder that our Lord wants us to have beautiful things in this life and HE shows us how.
To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the LORD has planted for his own glory.Isaiah 61:3
